An Introduction to An American Girl in France: Part Une

Welcome to an extremely detailed and embellished version of my adventures in France. I'm making this blog to give all of my fans (parents, siblings, friends) a method to live vicariously through me. To think I'm leaving for France in only one week is a dream come true. Who would have thought a girl whose parents have seen the movie Taken one too many times would be allowed to venture across the world? Aside from my impending panic attack that will certainly result from the 8-hour-plane ride, I could not be more excited to travel the world (okay, just Europe. But "world" sounds better!) for 6 weeks. Stay tuned for amazing updates, featuring too many pictures and desperate attempts at learning French. So far, I can say, "I'm lost. Can you help me, please?" perfectly in French. Also, "I need to make a reservation" is my second most well-said French phrase. Thirdly, "Where is the nearest store that sells wine?" comes almost naturally to me. With those three phrases in my back pocket, what could possibly go wrong for this American girl in France?
